In 2024, Kindred Futures, formerly known as The Atlanta Wealth Building Initiative, retained SMC for a 360-degree rebranding experience with the mission of changing its name and identity and expanding its reach from Atlanta to the Global South.

This project involved multi-stakeholder research and feedback, resulting in a new brand communications and positioning strategy, a new name, a new core brand identity system, the development of marketing materials and templates for print and digital, and website design and development. The experience culminated in a comprehensive multi-channel external rebrand campaign, which included an event, a short documentary showcasing the rebranding process and the organization’s broader focus, and a digital marketing campaign to familiarize its extensive audience with its new name and look. Reception remains excellent from the organization’s impacted communities, funders, partners, and more.
